No rsvp required<\/p>\n<p>Teacher: Jennifer Plewka of Smiling Hogshead Ranch<\/p>\n<p>Workshop: Eating Locally \u2014 Key Factors in the Search for Local Food<\/p>\n<p>This workshop will dive deeper into the concept of sourcing your food locally. Jennie will discuss the importance of buying local for your community as well as the global food system, considering how your dollar impacts your neighborhood and the environment as a whole. You\u2019ll walk away with tools to help make your weekly shopping easier, healthier, and more impactful.<\/p>\n<p>Participating partners host Roots Workshops \u2014 a new series of interactive workshops for adults, featuring expert-led demos in cooking, planting infrastructure, and topics central to the local food system in Western Queens.
