{"id":7186,"date":"2026-06-30T01:55:41","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T01:55:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/socratessculpturepark-2026.kudos.nyc\/event\/the-next-generation-on-view\/"},"modified":"2026-07-01T07:50:11","modified_gmt":"2026-07-01T07:50:11","slug":"the-next-generation-on-view","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/socratessculpturepark-2026.kudos.nyc\/ar\/event\/the-next-generation-on-view\/","title":{"rendered":"The Next Generation&#8217; On View"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2019-2020 Socrateens, Excerpt from the &#8216;Monuments Decoder&#8217; &#8216;zine, 2020<br \/>\n\u062d\u0648\u0644<br \/>\nThe final part the &#8216;MONUMENTS NOW&#8217; exhibition, &#8216;The Next Generation,&#8217; goes on view Saturday, October 10, 2020. &#8216;The Next Generation&#8217; looks to the future with a multi-faceted project collectively realized by local high school students participating in the Park\u2019s arts education program, Socrateens.<\/p>\n<p>Facilitated by the Park\u2019s Lead Educator,\u00a0Douglas Paulson, Socrateens is a year-long experimental art program for 10 high school students selected through an application process. Participants receive a monthly artist\u2019s stipend of $100.<\/p>\n<p>For &#8216;MONUMENTS NOW,&#8217; the 2019-2020 Socrateens collaborated on a zine titled &#8216;Monuments Decoder,&#8217; which you can read for free online HERE!
