Maravilla expanded upon a game from his childhood in El Salvador called “Tripa Chuca” (\u201crotting guts\u201d), where players simultaneously draw lines that never touch, to create a temporary artwork inside the circle of medicinal plants . The artist\u2019s ‘Tripa Chuca’ drawings are often incorporated into his sculptures or presented on gallery walls, so this marks the first time Maravilla has played the game outdoors . Maravilla\u2019s collaborator on this project is, like Maravilla, a cancer survivor. Together they inscribed their individual journeys as two separate lines on the earth, traveling and maneuvering throughout the Park without intersecting, creating an ephemeral ground drawing.<\/p>\n

Maravilla parte de un juego de su infancia en El Salvador llamado “Tripa Chuca” (“tripas podridas”), en el que lxs jugadorxs dibujan simult\u00e1neamente l\u00edneas que nunca se tocan, para crear una obra temporal en el interior del c\u00edrculo de plantas medicinales. Los dibujos de ‘Tripa Chuca’ del artista suelen incorporarse a sus esculturas o presentarse en las paredes de las galer\u00edas, por lo que \u00e9sta es la primera vez que Maravilla realiza el juego al aire libre. El colaborador de Maravilla en este proyecto es, como \u00e9l, un superviviente de c\u00e1ncer. Juntos plasmaron sus viajes individuales como dos l\u00edneas separadas en la tierra, viajando y maniobrando a trav\u00e9s del Parque sin cruzarse, creando un dibujo ef\u00edmero en el suelo.<\/p>\n
