For Maravilla, this collaboration is part of a micro-economy he seeks to build through his practice, which centers marginalized people and mutual aid. The painting depicts the casting process used to create the Disease Thrower sculptures, along with some of the symbolic materials that are part of the installation, including twisting gourds and ears of corn in the ancestral\/medicinal garden.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&#8216;Retablo Billboard&#8217;<br \/>\nImpresi\u00f3n en vinilo<br \/>\n12 x 28 pies.<\/p>\n<p>En la valla publicitaria de Broadway, Maravilla presenta un retablo ampliado \u2013una peque\u00f1a pintura devocional realizada en colaboraci\u00f3n con Daniel Vilchis, artista mexicano de cuarta generaci\u00f3n que el artista conoci\u00f3 cuando volvi\u00f3 a recorrer su trayectoria migratoria.
