The piece is inspired by the complex and overwhelming political, environmental, and economic crises that affect New Yorkers \u2013 and how these issues can both unite and divide us.<\/p>\n<p>In its current state Maneuver exists as a boundary wall dividing the park into two halves. For the public activation of the work, visitors will assist Nowacek in re-configuring Maneuver into a more protective and inclusive form.<\/p>\n<p>The artist considers the physical difficulty of the activation akin to training for the endurance required to effect change. The community organizing aspect of the challenge is also important \u2013 after all, ten tons of change can\u2019t happen without the collective power of many hands!<\/p>\n<p>All are welcome to participate!<\/p>\n<p>FREE.
