\nSocrates artist Jeffrey Gibson (Mississippi Choctaw-Cherokee) has invited the Indigenous Kinship Collective (KIN) \u2013 “a community of Indigenous womxn, femmes, and gender non conforming folx who gather on Lenni Lenape land to honor each other and our relatives through art, activism, education, and representation” \u2013 to perform a Native Land Acknowledgement at the Park. The Land Acknowledgement will be live-streamed online on Socrates’ Facebook & Instagram account as part of the Online Celebration for Jeffrey Gibson’s Monument Unveiling, which also includes a performance by acclaimed violinist Laura Ortman. KIN has requested that those who are able to do so at this time please make a donation to the Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women.<\/p>\n
